1080p
1080p is one of the resolutions specified in HDTV standards. 1080p means 1080 progressive scan lines. In 1080p specification, there are 1920 pixels in each horizontal lines.
A TV screen consists of 1920 vertical lines and 1080 horizontal ones is called Full-HD display. A TV set that is claimed to support 1080p but needed to downscale the 1080p movie to 720p in order to display it properly is not Full-HD, usually it is called an HD-Ready TV set.
