720p is one of the resolution formats specified in HDTV standards. 720p means 720 progressive scan lines. In 720p specification, there are 1280 pixels in each horizontal lines. 720p is the minimum standards for HDTV. A TV with a screen of 1366x768 or 1280x720 resolutions is usually called HD-Ready TV.
