BDA
BDA - Broadcast Driver Architecture, is a standard for Microsoft Windows to provide support for PCs to receive and display broadband digital and analog broadcasts. It allows the sytem to accept and render streams from many sources: audio/video streams, TV streams, and IP streams from the Internet.
The advantage of BDA is that any BDA-compliant software should be compatible with any BDA-compliant hardware, thus you can stick to your favorite DVB playing software when using devices of different vendors.
