HDCP
HDCP is the abbreviation for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection. It is a copy protection scheme designed by Intel to protect digital content from being copied, manipulated or viewed unauthorizedly. HDCP is normally used in conjunction with DVI and HDMI connections. To play HDCP protected movies under full-resolution(1080p or 1080i), your DVD player (or PC graphic card) and monitor should both include support for HDCP.
